High Deductible Health Plans and Health Savings Accounts
Open a Health Savings Account now! If you already have a qualified high deductible health plan, Click here to go directly to the CMA UMB online enrollment site. In order to open a Health Savings Account, you must satisfy these four eligibility guidelines: 1) you must be enrolled in a qualified high deductible health plan (not just a health plan with a high deductible), 2) you may not be covered under any health plan that is not a high deductible health plan, 3) not be enrolled in Medicare, and 4) not be claimed as a dependent on another person’s tax return. Significant premium savings are available through a number of qualifying high deductible health plans (HDHP) on an individual or group basis. Through a unique arrangement with Blue Shield of California, groups of 2 50 members and employees have access to Blue Shield’s small group medical plans with a special 5% discount due to their CMA membership. This saving is also included on the high deductible health plans for Health Savings Accounts. In addition, in order to facilitate the enrollment process, no medical questions need to be answered to enroll. However, you can qualify for even greater savings if your group answers a few medical questions on a Probable Action Form. This discount is only available if your application is submitted through Marsh Affinity.

Medical Specialty Definition of Disability
Long term disability coverage helps protect your income in the event you become Totally Disabled. You are protected in your medical specialty for the first 5 years of your Total Disability. The maximum benefit period is age 65 for both Injury and Sickness related disabilities. The plan includes Waiver of Premium and a choice of waiting periods (90, 120 or 180 days). Up to $10,000 per month is available after the selected waiting period for members under age 50. Members ages 50 - 54 may apply for up to $6,000 per month in benefits. Workers' Compensation insurance is required by law and covers your employees in the event of a job-related injury. Coverage is standardized by state law and includes hospital and medical expenses, work-related disability income and a death benefit.

Pays the normal and fixed expenses of running your office while you are disabled so you don't have to use your personal disability income.
Examples of Covered Expenses Include:
